Abandoned

The pain he caused, he'll never know,
For she hides it deep inside
Laughs when the world abandons her,
And leaves her far behind
It is normal in her world of tragedy,
For those to forget her in their past
Always finding the "perfect" love,
But it is never meant to last
They adore her and present her with their love,
And then leave her in the dust
Proving that no man cares for her heart,
Just feels his constant lust
Hearts broken, shattered pieces,
Lying on the hardwood floor
Lying in a pool of tears and blood,
Crying, "I can't take this anymore"
He moves on without a sense of uncertainty,
Just to find the next willing girl
It's all about the money and sex,
That makes his perfect world
She gives her heart, her love, her soul,
To the man who takes her all
But in the end, they leave her, laughing,
As soon as they see her fall
She falls too easy some may say,
As they go along the years
But for every shattered piece of her heart,
Falls another broken tear
No other girl will love them like she would,
But this, they'll never know
For since she was not perfection,
They let this poor soul go
And so, in tears, she cuts herself,
With initials from their names
To show the world, it's not easy to cry,
But it is simple to live in shame
She cries, she begs, "Please take me away!"
But they never hear her words
She's too quiet, in her shy ways,
So she always ends up hurt
"I am sick of being used like this!" she screams,
"A little doll upon the stand"
"I am more than a pretty smile in this world,
I am a lost and reaching hand"
"I am a forgotten child, left years ago,
When I was no longer perfect for you all
They came and used me, one after another,
As I continued to fall"
"I found true love, but let it go,
When I was too afraid
And it seems, I'll never be loved,
By another angel again"
"But I will not stand by and watch you wait,
Impatiently for me to cry
I'll stand up tall, before you all,
And give love another try"
"For I am stronger, than you think,
And I can face the day ahead
All I need, is an arm to hold onto,
And a helping hand to get out of bed"
