open my eyes to expose the film of memories past
to forget the old.
and capture the new
the shutter speeds set at its highest so nothing goes by forgotten.
if only memories could be stored in a book.
separating the good from the bad.
the light from the dark.
the colors shoot out like rays from the sun.
brightening my world and lighting up the sky
the path i follow is winding with no end in sight.
each step i take repeating itself down the assembly line to the final product of my life.
who will be the final editor of this story that my life has written?
seperate the right from wrong
the good from evil
what will i be remembered as.
just a girl with the camera on the outside looking in?
or as the focus on the film, the one that makes that particular world go round.
theres no automatic setting, to make sure everything turns out right.
everythings on manual, and ive lost the guide.
all i can hope for is that i remember my past mistakes.
and pray that my negatives dont get scratched so my final prints
can be a masterpiece for the slideshow that represents this moment in time
frozen as a snapshot of a memory to be filed away in my book of time.

If you do these following things, your poem will be genius:
*Use proper punctuation
*Use proper capitalization
*Learn/Use Line breaking techniques
Besides those three things that need work...the content in this is awesome. I love the metaphors and imagery used to make your message more powerful.
