In the Fullness of Time

Missing image

I.
The children of God entreated,
“Hear our plea oh universe and
Carry our spirits into the dreamt
Beyond by the light of eternity’s
Glimmer and, illuminate our souls!”

II.
And from His Heavenly throne
God resounded, “Come hither
My children who were once dust
Of the stars!”

Author notes

Picture credit goes to me; it's my own digital art work. It's actually a digital photo of a puddle of frozen water captured on a very cold winter day digitally manipulated to, I hope, resemble the far reaches of the universe.

Your art is exceptional, sharing with us vibrant colors, and imagination. Although your painting is exceptional, I truly wish you had posted instead, the work of the artist presented in this comp.

Your words are poignant, and work exceedingly well with your art. They also compliment the work of Alex Grey. Thank you for this entry and I wish you well in the challenge.

    Much Love ♥

That picture is beautiful! I don't know how you were able to manipulate it like that (coming from a person who knows Photoshop well, haha), but it's amazing. The piece is very thought-provoking as well. Good job, Michael!

amazing photography... I especially love the third line and the entire secon stanza is very powerful, indeed... what a response, particularly:

"My children who were once dust
    Of the stars!”

I like the second stanza better then the first though both are pleasent to the eyes and ears. The way your words come together is soothing and relaxing. I am growing a fan of your writing.

Nice vision, and nice job of putting it in words. Both verses really bring the picture to life. The awesomeness of God can be seen in everything. Good luck in the contest.
