clay days

sometimes a thought
travels as a wish
and brings a smile
'neath clouds of clay;

and a wishful moment
shared in time we give
as touching, creates by gesture
memory we might hold,
a caress, as eager hands to canvas
leaving bold colors and gentle promises.

    A wonderful thing about clay is that we can mold it to get the shape we wish.
    Thoughts that bring us a smile, are thoughts we must hold on to as long as we can.
    Tender poem with a great feeling

    I liked the idea of "clay days"... almost like going back to the roots, to those memories that are part of us and in whose soil we grow... it's all around us. A lovely piece of writing - soft and gentle and filled with colour and shape.
