Born A Hundred Years Too Late

Missing image
Born a hundred years too late
want to ride shoot with a bandanna cross my face
Ride with old Jesse and Frank
Hold  me up some trains and Banks
Race my long legged horse from Tennessee
legends would include Belle Starr and me.

Hold my long bow bring down a buffalo
make my fire long side my great grandmother
before she became a white man's bride
skin a rabbit skewer on a stick
make my bread from corn and wheat

sing my songs with the birds
learn to be quiet as the dead
move from one point to the other
with out ground or cover.
shout out my nature cry
as my horse, dog wolf and I fly
Free is only a word unless you
really learn and do the things
you want to do...

    Fly Free

Like the wind of 100 years ago. It is still possible even today.
i had a horse break free and visit me while i had no windows.
From backside with hammer in my hand he stuck his nose in and jumped me. Romeo was his name. Now we walk magic mountains free. i've known 4 I've never rode but were friends. Gingersnap, Romeo, and two Mules Della and Ned.
    Ned I was nicknamed after.
Great penning my new poetic reading and writing friend.

Oh, the images that are here! Somehow you must realize there are others that dream of those days; glory at the thought of their last breath being taken on a mountain top at sunset.

    A beautiful read.
