On the tenth of May it was a rainy day
And the children had no fun.
All the girls and boys bored with normal toys
Were dreaming of the sun.
Little Bobbi Sue she knew what to do
She went to get supplies.
In the kitchen sink she would make a drink
Certain to surprise.
She mixed grapes and ice cream and it smelled like a dream
As it turned a greenish blue.
She added candy and more, it had flavors galore
And developed a bit of a chew.
When the simmering stopped and the bubbles had popped
She decided to give it a whirl.
With a gulp and a sigh she exclaimed “Oh My!”
As her hair started to curl.
With a cough and a wheeze she dropped to her knees
And polka dots formed on her feet.
Her skin turned as red as the hair on her head
She was the most colorful girl on the street!
When she thought it was through she gave one more “Ah Choo”
And her feet lifted up off the floor.
She got up two feet high, she was able to fly!
As she drifted her way to the door.
On the tenth of May it was a rainy day
And the children had to no fun.
Until Bobbi Sue with her Bobbi-Sue-Goo
Made a drink loved by everyone.

Very Good
I would agree with a previous comment about it being reminiscent of 'George's Marvellous Medicine'. Generally, it had a good flow and rhyme, and was very pleasant to read. This would be a hit with children I'm sure, so well done, and good luck in both this contest and the other in which we have both entered!

This is a very good poem. I enjoyed reading it along with my 8 year old. I like how the rhyme just flowed.
