Underneath a twilight moon
my heart and soul silently breaking
suddenly heaving breaths of anguish abate
as I find myself amid surrealistic wonder
A rain of roses floods the skies
and the perfect blooms fall about my feet
as though carpeting my future with the promise of love

Well done poet!!
Brava!! You have painted a portrait in words ever so eloquently; as surely as a heart beats there is no doubt the life enscribed is as realistic as the imagery and emotion you have painted in words
Wishing you and yours a joyous Holiday Season
