Abandoned her

It hurts her when you don't talk to her
Or give a simple hi
You ignore her
Block her from your heartless eyes
Don't you care that she will soon be gone?

She walks alone
Waiting for your arms to be around her petite waist
Making jokes to cheer her up ;
Easily making her smile to forget her problems,
You meant so much to her.

But the pain in her chest;
That makes her choke up in pain,
She tries to take deep breaths but only gust of wind clog her pipes.
Sitting on her bed,
Looking around to see if there's anything to calm her.
But only the memories of you make it harder for her to focus,
She tries not to make the results in self-hurt.

Taking long walks blocking out the rain;
Her clothes getting wet,
Sticking to her skin tightening around her circulation.
She starts to run on the wet cement,
Tripping on her shoe lace.
Letting out the lachrymose as she can't hold in anymore,
Where were you?
Comforting her when she needed it.

She walks in the small hallways;
Faking a smile hiding the pain in her box,
Locking up the memories in a tight spiked metal lock.
The key thrown in eternal abyss,
Never wanting to open it again.

Parents lecturing saying "we know how you feel";
Just cause their adults doesn't mean they understand,
Everything is different from the new to the old century,
Little they know what they did.
Not will they ever as that is locked in a different gift.

As you and her talk you don't notice,
The agony she is hiding.
Her clothes covering the scars and remembrance of you,
And yet she still yearns for his embrace.
To keep the darkness away,
To make her happy and healthy again.

She doesn't want to go to anyone,
Holding it all in so only she can bear it.
Not wanting to make a burden for everyone else.
Will anyone find the key?
Or will you cheat and steal the key,
Hoping you learned from your mistakes.
Holding her and comforting her when she needs it,
Showing you care for her and tell the truth.
Not leaving her behind;
Running from her problems,
Chase her so you can hold her not watching her run away.

She wonders where she can run,
When no one is there.
Her depression not helping her,
Failing her classes when she wishes she wasn't.
Giving up all her hope and throwing it all in the garbage,
Where are your words that were full of passion?
Was that all fabrication?
Will you be there is she puts the gun to her head her finger trembling on the trigger?
Or will you be there watching her misery thinking you can't help?
You can, all you have to do is be there for her.

    A very painful and emotional piece this is. The 'hurt' in this is very palpable. It runs through this piece. The agony of a lost love, someone who does not want to know now is one of the worst kinds to get over. It can destroy your life.

    Much love and respect to you.
