So goes the story of Sweeney Todd
A man set upon by the law
Banished from his family
But the judge forgot one important flaw
Benjamin Barker wouldn't take it light
And he went out to seek revenge
One by one they all were sacrificed
As his family was avenged
Yet through his misguided blade
That helped carcasses become pies
He strikes a silly beggar woman
Who is actually his wife and she dies
He was slow to learn the truth
Vengance only goes so far
Until you hurt the ones you love
Unfortunately, that's just how things are
So Benjamin Barker got his revenge
On more than he had imagined
It happened to Sweeney, it happens to you
Seeking revenge will always making this happen

I love the movie and this does it justice...good poem

I like it, it's very good! The end lines kind of tell the story of the entire movie, how being consumed by revenge and hate will never bring happiness. The rhyme is a bit forced in a few places, but not enough to seriously detract from the poem. Great job!
