seeing blind

the wooden table is cold under my bare thighs and my legs are spread with you between them. just two moments ago we were breathing, feeling, seeing nothing. but there was a pause, a time rift. and now i see you, with your lips half parted and your hair askew. for a brief moment i wish i could tell you something world shaking that would light up that face, but now it's blank, white and alabaster except your cheeks and the sleepless circles beneath your eyes.

the way you're breathing there, shoulders heaving, cheeks flushed... i just want to kiss and kill you all at the same time. the setting sun is glowing behind me and you're squinting, not seeing me, just feeling me, and i wish i could ask to switch places with you. i'm too aware of everything i just want to feel.

now i'm feeling, feeling to much. i'm conscious of the rolls of skin on my body as i sit, shoulders bowed as i breathe, leaned against the wall, with the wooden table cold against my thighs. the wall is smooth and hard and you reach out to touch my face, and shield your eyes with your other hand but i push it away and kiss your eyelids.

sometimes it's better to be blind.

gah
