From the table to the sink-
Still here in the bottom of the pan,
once thought to be a feast for kings,
but I am not chosen. I am alone.
Did I resemble a worm slithering away?
Disgusting and uncouth?
No! I was with my brothers and sisters
as you gathered them up.
Now you drown me with bubbles
and I am unused.
The last of my kind,
born from a box,
and forever, and ever,
the last in the pot.
