Eternity

You say I love you
for eternity,
but will it really be?

An endless summer, filled with hope,
and crystal rains of angel tears,
and no more crying, no more fears.
An eternity of life and love.

I guess I know it'll never be forever,
but I have to say,
to make it known,
that eternity to me, could just
very well be...

An endless summer, without the drought,
just pleasantly warm, with skies of blue,
or skies of silk gray with drizzling rain,
an eternity of life and love.

I paint a picture with my words,
for everyone to see,
to let my eternity be well known
to all of those around me.

An endless summer, or a lifetime with you,
a kiss out in the pouring rain,
you whispering in my ear through the night,
or your arms, holding me warm and tight.

You are my eternity.
