of painting & poetry

~

To paint is to express, what words refuse to show.
The brush dips deep in the viscous soul, and slathers the canvas, oh truth be told!
To paint is to know. To paint is to feel. To paint is to become a vessel for Mother Earth,
letting it continuously flow. Poetry is to express, what man will never know.

I disagree with Emile. I am a painter as well, and I'm right with you there. What we do with painting/drawing/creating plastic works (and I know you know what I mean by plastic) is an attempt to represent the human truth by allowing it to come, as you say /letting it continuously flow/. Poetry IS different, dealing with a different mind set, dealing with words, and all the definitions and meanings already attached to them. Poetry speaks of love, and truth, and beauty, and these we know only fragmentarily, incompletely, and seem to long for the total, which we will never know. I liked how you expressed this very much, it accords with my thoughts.

    Very good

Just a suggestion ... "what man will never know." to "what man sill strives to know." Your thoughts are clear and your words bubble with life so that the reader is caught up in your enthusiasm and feels refreshed. Good structure with a natural cadence that welcomes the reader and enlist further exploration. Your feelings come through strong and straight from the heart.
