Our Pal Al for President

Our beautiful planet
is turning to filth
Let's make a movie from it
Better yet
Give some hairbrained politician
A Nobel Prize
And pretend for a minute
that he deserves it
Because obviously
Al Gore knows more about pollution
Global Warming
And Melting ice caps
than the thousands of scientists
Who actually make a difference in the world
Let's top it all off
And ignore disease
and hunger
and all our world's problems
Because Al Gore said it
It must all be true
Because he knows better
He's a politician
And politicians never lie
Never cheat
Never steal
Never corrupt
The changing world
is not just open game
for a man who knows
that people are "going green"
And that if he does the same
if he adds to the argument
That pollution sucks
then his political
and financial career
is set for life
Elections will come
and we will see
a new name on the ballot
And everyone will cheer
for the environmentalist candidate
So jump on the bandwagon
And everyone vote
