Where have all the good knights gone?
Not to rescue a fair maiden.
Why are all the dragons dying
With no knight who must then slay them?
What has become of the foolish dainty,
Sighing in the tower highest,
Where the fair maidens sit "helplessly" waiting
For a boy clad in armor, rewards undoubtedly expected.
There are no such things as fairy tales,
Certainly no chivalry does exist,
For the men who save to see a women in a lacy veil
Rescue for their own glory and gold.
Now it seems the men are all the same,
Fair maidens like a Paris Hilton,
Movies and television are no longer tame,
There are no such things as fairy tales.
Chivalry has long since been dead
Very short a time it existed in full;
Always it seems we are to be misled
For there is no such thing as a fairy tale.
When shall the good ole boys come back from their drinking
And remember the family they once had
And stop doing the deeds which have been done without proper thinking
And know that "happily ever after" is nonexistent until then?
When will the pretty women remember the innocence
That they have once abandoned,
Never to return to the state of mind that made the most sense
When fairy tales still were in existence?
