It’s the story that’s never ending,
Hidden deeply beneath the breasts,
A heart’s untold passings
Kept hushed from all the rest-
Fearing rejection, neglection
Living a non-existent life
Opening for him to see,
Yet unable to come completely clean.
Its seas paint a mirage of emotions,
Falling in waves of confusion,
A pure mental anxiety
With desires of warmth of touch
As they rewashed constantly, unfailing
Blinding to the thoughts of love
True and deep-
Every beat to live longer
Every second to days to years,
To feel more, longer-
To try for that bliss
Or die trying altogether.
For it’s only once that we live
And without its thirst
It’s worth nothing at all-
Merely just a lie of waste
Floating among souls of hate
Where dreams are lost
And memories fight to stay ashore.
If only this wrecked vessel of a heart of mine
Could fly up from the depths
Of its self-made torturous seas
And beg to be that light
Beheld forever, in his eyes,
Maybe its story won't go down in vain
But find its truth instead,
Overcoming the fear-
Passings told.
