Fundamentally different
An existence quite apart
Whence this burd’n of meaning
A sense of wrong embarked
Egoism or idiocy
Imagined persecution
Utter selfishness maybe
But feeble substitution
Heightened sensibility
Or immature of sorts
Who’s to gauge inclusiveness
Of people’s acts and thoughts
A passing judgement
Thrown at whim
And caught by lonely fisher
Baited line or bated breath the choice is mighty thin
So we’re all to be so special?
This modern world doth say
And everyone is diff’rent
Disabled, black or gay
Explain then gift and talent
Outstanding shades of grey?
A spectrum has not equal ends
Nor we, those kept at bay
