What Is Their Story

There sits the prefect jock with his skills and his brains

all tough with the jokes and up with the games
but when he gets home, he has his father who's drunk.

And after some beatings and throwing of junk,

he just goes to his room and sits there and cries
then it's school the next day, all prefect with lies

and sometime you wonder, " what it is he defies?"

Up on her 'throne' sits the prom queen
with her make-up and parties and pos'e abloom.
Little miss prefect, like she's got nothing to loose,

yet, when so she gets home, she cries in her room
over her mother that's dead for just over a year.
Her father has changed since that horrible day
no smiles or laughs, just insults and names
Back to school the next day, all prefect with lies

and sometime you wonder, " what it is she defies?"

There at her table surrounded by friends
sits a 'coolie' with her stylish trends.

so stupid and blonde, life with no care

you think that she has life a little too fair

but she's really just a girl with a broken dream

that puts on a smile just to drowned out her inside scream

her father too sctrict for her 'childish play'

crushes her dream even more each day

but back at school, shes all prefect with lies

and sometime you wonder, " what it is she defies?"

Down in the library piled under books 

sits the geek not too heavy on the looks.

Reading and studying and learning non-stop

getting pressured from parents to get to the top.

His childhood passes by with no memories to keep

No time for freinds or fun and barely any for his sleep.

Just wanting to crack and let it all out.

He cries in his room all alone with his doubt,

Going to school, ingnoring his lies

and sometime you wonder, " what it is he defies?"

There in the grass lays the queen of dorks,

with her miss-matched socks, and hair that's shorter than short.

She acts all nice and dumb, with her laughs and jokes

but she actually has no money to keep for her folks.

So after school,she goes and works for another 6 hours,

just so there could be food for her family to devour.

12 hours later, and she's back to school, starting again with all the lies

and sometime you wonder, " what it is she defies?"

Down in the corner, where no one can see

a nobody and his only true freind be.

Talking about nonsence that doesn't even matter,

he appears happy amoungst the chatter.

But now with his parents divorce, he dreads going back to his home.

With his father now long gone, his house feels alone

but when schools comes the next day, he's back with the lies 

and sometime you wonder, " what it is he defies?"
