    A beautiful Haiku.

[Margarita Rose is the best known given names of a granddaughter of the Late Princess Margaret, sister to the Queen. I know not of a rose named for her!]
Metaphors are unusualin short Japanese forms. "Garden Gem" must be a metaphor. "Her" brings in the complication of gender unless the haiku extends to an elaborate personification of Margaret. And, I do think you meant this to be so.
So, a delightful poem; at first flush, a beautiful Haku.

I am not a great enthusiast of the haiku/senryu form... but can appreciate that this is good of its kind. A purist might object to the rhyme... - and the fact that the sense break after the 12th syllable is rather weak.. but why should you not experiment with the form if you choose? (It is only when someone specifically states that a poem is in such-and-such set form - and then fails to follow the rules of that form that I get a little vexed!)

I am wondering if there is a rose called "Margarita", or "Margarita Rose"? The combination reminds me of the late Princess - who was always referred to as "Margaret-Rose" in childhood, though she dropped the "Rose" as soon as she was old enough to make her feelings about it known.

    ahh

Thank you for this sweet haiku, Rahad. I wanted to be the only rose in the world with no thorns, but I have them like everyone else. I will cultivate your attitude, where the postitive comes first.
