War #2

Are you ready to die for your fellow man?
if it came to the push do you think you can

take a life ,waste a life ,
with bullet, bomb

even a knife?

Are you ready to give for your fellow man
if it came to the push do you think you can

offer a son, a daughter,
a wife.
to save a young one, even "your life".

Are you ready to pray for your fellow man?
if it came to the push do you think you can
forget all the prejudice,
forget all the hate,

put your arms out to the enemy
call them mate ?

But are you already crying for your fellow man
if it came to the push do you think you can
give comfort to those who are left behind
feel the pain they are feeling going out of
their mind?

Are you pleased that its not you
are you pleased you've not cried
are you glad it is not your'e son your'e  daughter

who died

im just wondering !
if when your feeling empty inside,
could you say that its worth it,
just the fact that you tried?

This ponders alot of questions and they are of war not that it can't be related to having or not having love of country but then it doesn't speak or not speak of patriotism. I like the thoughts you leave to ponder about war thought. Thanks for your entry and good luck in the contest.

your rhyme and flow are good on this write, but the words and the questions you leave one to ponder on are fantastic. I normally do not like questioning poetry, however you pulled this off with greatness.

Very nice, I like the rhyms and the flow is very good too, the message is amazing and how you put it out there is great, but the wording though it is not my favirote wording of all time :[ the rhyming also seems kinda forced..

    Thanks for the entry.

    Edited.
