War Is Easy To Tolerate, When It's Just Statistics
Terrorist. Terrorist. Terrorist.
I've heard that when people are sad
They just cry over their condition.
When they're pissed, that's when
They make some changes, but
What happens when you're terrified
Of your "protectors."
I thought cornered animals
Lashed out.
But all I see is stagnancy.
The poor, poor children are being
Sent off to murder and be murdered.
And we keep sipping our
Morning coffee.
When the numbers come up on the screen
You eat your morning toast.
“50 dead…that’s terrible,” you say
Your mouth half full.
But the silence of your mumbled protest
Is what is killing human beings.
Do you even pay attention to the names?
As they fade in and out.
But have you ever wanted
To wrap a bullet up in paper,
Shove it in an envelope and
Send it to a friend,
Marching off to war?
Marching to a call that is
Not his to answer.
And what the hell are we doing?
Stealing oil for a motherfucker's Hummer.
Stealing oil for the rich fucking corporations.
Is no one angry yet? Is no one ready to
Lash out, does no one feel that they are
Backed up against a corner.
Oh, Christmas is coming, and all I want is
A riot to burn in D.C. All I want, is a new government.
No more corporatocracy. No more theocracy.
And definitely no more fucking kakistocracy!
How can you say food deprivation is not torture
When food is an absolute necessity like shelter and water.
How can you say choking someone with water is not torture
When they're crying, screaming for some mercy?
I will not condone this shit.
Riot. Riot. Riot.

I love your poem! It's very strong and it's really doing what my contests wants, which is to speak out.
In the beginning, I though the poem will not be a very extreme poem, but then, when you started cursing(which is good), I realized that your poem is truly standing out.
I can say that your poem (especially the last three stanzas) remind me of the video of "Shadow of the day" by Linkin Park.
Oh, and by the way, I agree with you 100%
(especially with their torture of the terrorists. they are human, whether they've done good or horrible things).Time has come to riot! Time has come to stop this shitty government from starting other useless wars and from destroying other people's lives!
Thank you very much for your entry!

Powerful release of emotion.
I agree with you on most every point you have made in this poem, 'stealing oil for some mother fuckers hummer'. Insane indeed.
Excellent write poet!
