The Life I Write Is My Own

I am here to tell a story in verse.
I do not write so others read my words.
I am emotional about all that I put on the paper.
Everytime I write I am my own savior.
I create a poem or an ode to express my thoughts of love and sometimes hate.
I can often read it and find my fate.
My poetry shines with echoes of laughter.
There things I write about happy ever after.
Every time I write there is a new emotion I evoke.
I often write the things that are never spoke.
I am not alone in my ways to write.
There are millions who write of life.
I can look at the eend of the day through all the poetry I have written or read.
I always find even more can be said.
The poetry is written to tell a story of true hope or sacrifice.
Every poem lets us peek in on each others life.

Author notes

i love to write and my emotions are true and raw. I can easily say things on paper that I can not say in life.

I think that you hit on one of the appeals of writing poetry - the freedom of expression that it avails to us.

Indeed Allan does indeed always says what needs to be said. This indeed was a great piece, enjoyed it. Alotof people write the way you do to express yourself to the world that you couldnt have the voice to do. Still its being said just in a poetic manner.
well done and best wishes to you.

Not me. I can say anything, anywhere, anytime... and have!
