Please save me from this nightmare
As the rain comes pouring down.
Just save me and protect me
And turn my life around.
I promised you I'd love on
Until my final days.
I gave you all my love
But still you had to pay.
You promised me a new life
Of true, unending faith
But now that you are gone
Will you remain a wraith?
Invisible to others
For they forgot your face,
But now-a-days I wonder
How they'd forget your grace.
Your touch was soft and gentle,
So innocent and pure,
But all-in-all I miss the girl
Whom I adored.
Never again shall I see her,
My maiden of true faith,
Only in my dreams
And only as a wraith.
Author notes
the world is not black and white, but in shades of grey
in loving memory of my darling who died several years ago on June 15th.

I really enjoyed the flow to this, very simple but nicely written, well done and good luck in the contest

very beatiful. sorry about your darling. I like the flow and word choice. It reminded me of one of my favorite poems (when tomorrow starts without me). death poems in this way are purely poetic. thank you for entering.
