Echo falls in a gentle Summer rain,
descending from the stars.
Her tears cling to vibrant flower petals,
trying to kiss them as if
they were the lips of Narcissus
(Her dream lives for a few
precious moments, but suddenly
dies as gravity slowly
takes over.)
Author notes
Love is a downpour: Love is fast and hard, a shower of tears; it can make you grow or it can drown you.
there are also some precious moments, like roses in the rain...but love and physics do not agree, and love is left unrequited
this poem = a merging of mythology and physics and a zillion other things.

This is beautiful... it has a personal tone to it that I think is missing from your later pieces (I'm not saying that it is a good thing or a bad thing - just pointing it out
)... I love your take on mythology, I think that it adds such a deeper meaning to your poems - wonderful, and congratulations on the gold!
