Dreamville

Welcome to Dreamville,
Where endless thoughts are encouraged.
I am the only resident.
I am the only native.
I am also your host.
Since I am the only one here,
I am also the mayor, governor, and president.
Where I come from, you can dream big,
Bigger than you ever wanted to,
Or ever were allowed to.
In my world, I have thoughts running around
Like a chicken with its head cut off.
They start with fame and fortune,
Continue with peace and harmony in my family,
And end with me marrying the love of my life.
I'm halfway through fame and fortune.
I'm a quasi celebrity,
But I'm also a starving artist.
In my world, I will go from starving
To being happily full.
When my parents are not at odds with each other,
They share bitter feelings towards my relatives.
In my world, they live in harmony.
The love of my life is far away,
Battling an illness with no name
While her loved ones are in need of salvation.
In my world, her loved ones are in harmony,
And she is healthy enough
To finally start a life of wedded bliss with me.
When you step into my world,
You can be anything you want to be.
There are no boundaries to what you wish.
Welcome to Dreamville,
Where endless thoughts are encouraged.
There is only one rule for you to follow.
Dream big.

You told me to read this and I did. It still doesn't ease the pain of being away from you.

    Dream BIG, Indeed!

I'm halfway through fame and fortune.

That sounds like a place where I am right now! HE! HE! Selling books and calendars of my poetry and photography in Canada, The USA, and across the pond to England - but with too little profit to quit me day job, for now, anyway! A fine piece, Brother - that reminds me of me DREAMLAND and FREEPORT poems - in a way - as they are both tranquil places, too - filled with peace and love! Congrats on the trophy - and the one thing I've discovered in over half a century - is that no one can take our dreams away - as long as they are real and we hold tightly on to them, me friend!
    Peace & Love!
    Earl.

DREAM ON, BROTHER - until your dreams become reality!

What a wonderful way to endure your life's hurts my friend, brush them aside and dream. I too live with my dreams as reality is not quite up to much right now but my dreams, like yours, are my escape to be with people I love. Very well written my friend and niaish for sharing here.

    Hoodwinked!!!

This is a wonderfully inspirational poem to read! "Dream Big" should be the motto of every person, for without dreams, there is so little hope. I love the way you've described this as a world of your own. I hope you've found that you aren't the only resident, and that in such a lovely place there is no need for government, and that fame can be shared by all.

Thanks so much for sharing this encouraging write. I think it was just what I needed to read today...

    Best wishes,
    ~J.
P.S. I hope you've enjoyed your hookwinked day!
