I just can't bear it,
Why do they fight?
I'm not that stupid,
I know it's not right.
Don't try to reassure me,
You know it won't work,
She doesn't deserve
To get beaten and hurt.
There's not as many presents,
Under the tree.
I can't give one to her,
To Mummy, love me.
Santa may come,
With his sleigh and his sack.
I hate all your gifts,
I'll give them all back.
No magic controls me,
On Christmas Eve.
When you spit in her face,
And you tell her to leave.
With only you here,
It's a house, not a home.
I don't want to hear you.
I feel so alone.

wow... this is well done... i love the last verse... it gives a sense of haunting lonieness when you say with only you here

A sad commentary on human relationships. It's too bad blankes aren't thicker so they'd smother the pain. Nicely done though.

Not Bad
I probably could have done better...I think I've done a couple of stanzas too much.
