William's Christmas Tree

Missing image
They said that thing's a Christmas tree,
as they brought it through the door -
they lit the pretty lights for me.

It's new and beautiful to see,
with shiny balls and lights and more,
they said that thing's a Christmas tree.

The smell of branches fresh and free,
with points that make my fingers sore -
they lit the pretty lights for me.

The kitty likes it just like me,
we have to keep her on the floor.
They said that thing's a Christmas tree,

the tip-top angel is a she;
she came from heaven, not the store.
They lit the pretty lights for me,

my sis explained it all to me,
the baby came, that's who it's for!
They said that thing's a Christmas tree,
they lit the pretty lights for ME!
