[ Tis the season to be jolly, ]

Tis the season to be jolly,
yet all seems silent in the night?
I hear no christmas songs,
nor greetings from a smiling face.

                  Tis the season for giving,
yet everywhere  I go, there is a quest to buy.
Hurry, all pushing people spending your money,
wasted time without truely giving is living in a lie.

Tis the season to be jolly,
sing songs from the soul, wear a wreath of holly
yet I barely hear whispers of Jesus
or see his words in  deeds.
I Call his holy name and hope
aIl will find a sound, a thoughtful moment,a space with a smile.
I believe deep in each living soul is a sleeping love, lost and lonely.

All who show us sights of Holy worship fill an empty space.
Grace comes to those without a judgeing face.
Smile at all and feel no disgrace
Today is for love, and hate, it has no place.

"A MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL
AND TO ALL A GOOD NIGHT"
as I silently fly out of sight

I hope all find someway to fill their hearts with joy.

Annie, so brilliant, and so eternally true. "wasted time without truely giving is living in a lie" is coupled nicely with " I believe in each living soul is a sleeping love, lost and lonely." and I completely agree with you. I really appreciate how the last stanza leaves a sense of hope because I havn't been finding it anywhere else
