She's sitting there in the corner, hidden, just a hint of a tear forms in the corner
of her eye.
She nervously bites her nails, as he continues to stare at her; she refusing to give
in to his silly little games, swallowing hard, refusing to cry.
That night still fresh, still new in her memory...
It was supposed to be her big night, the Freshmen Homecoming Dance; now asking herself "Why did he cause such pain and force himself upon me?"
She wonders if anyone knows, if they can tell, her deep, dark secret smothering her
hopes and dreams.
How can she ever regain her joy, her innocence, her very soul now scarred, he has
destroyed everything she was, sitting alone; now a stranger even to herself...or so
it would seem.

this is very sad and i can see you getting this from the picture if i block out the fact that it's my daughter and nothing like that ever happened to her. i think the part that was most powerful to me was "refusing to cry" that shows great strength even in a situation like this. thanks for entering and good luck. be well and be blessed
