to Margaret Turned 50

Missing image

I know the peace in your poems;
I feel the tranquil joy,
I treasure each moment of
soft words and soulful image
in your quiet metaphor.

You have the book of future
for your magic quill-
I pray that
God grants unceasing comfort,
a muse that always yields
word treasures on the golden path,
of your poetic fields.

Lyrical vers libre is an art

and your contribution for Margaret's milestone is highly regarded by me. Perhaps "magic quill" is a bit hackneyed. The rest is fine verse indeed. Such a poem of peace and ending with a benedictory prayer!
Thank you Richard, for your contribution. Ron.

Simple and sincere... And the free verse is well handled and sings... which is not always easy to achieve.

Prayerfully said, and very likely to come true.
Prolific as she is, her poetry is like a World Tour, and the sonnet form flawlessly used. Much more to say, but she says it better!

A lovely poem for Margaret's special day. Her poetry is just as you described it-comforting and oh so good, she is a gem among us.
