Falling in love
It happens to everyone
Whether it's a summer fling
Or whether it is for life
I was too young to know what it felt like
To completely loose your mind
Over one person
You quiver when you hear their voice
You shake when you smell their aftershave
I go crazy after I talk to him
I can't stop thinking about him
I can't wipe the huge grin off my face
But he wasn't like anyone else
He was special
Yet I knew I could never have him
For I'd blown my chance
He's not like the other guy
He wasn't selfish, indecent or pushy
He was kind, sensitive and caring
But he still didn't love me
He would never love me as I had loved him
So before I knew it, I had to let go
Let go of him
His deep, penetrating eyes
His smooth, smiling mouth
I had to let go
But I've been asking myself
Why me?
Why did I fall so hard,
When no one was there to catch me

"When no one was there to catch me" makes me wish I was around your age si I could catch you. This is a fantastic poem and makes me sigh. I've been here many times and unrequited love is no fun. In fact, long term love and commitment is getting much more difficult for me to find. I hope you eventually find a wonderful man; make sure you choose wisely.

well my friend it happens to all of us. we fall in love, and not always the other person will fall for us. it is part of life some of the not so good. hang in there and time and another love will appear. all the best in the contest.
