Waiting For The Rain

Waiting for the rain to fall upon my head
So I can finally close my eyes
Stars falling from the highest clouds
Just to pierce the skin
Then leave without a goodbye
Listening to the piano play a sad tune
And cursing your very existence
The words of love can heal so much
And even after that they slice so deep
Who knows where the end will lie
As the prayers we tell fall upon deaf ears
Everything seems to be going wrong
And we bow our heads in shame
At the pain we feel
Set me free from this pain I feel
Burrowing further inside
Making me feel sick to even hear the name
Leave me here alone
So I can feel the waves crash on my fragile skin
I need to know where I stand
And how much it will hurt in the future
But I don't want to believe these lies
Leave me to my silence
And set me free from this pain
It weighs me down and is killing my soul
As the life is drained from my bones
And as the piano plays that final note
Waiting for the crystal rain to fall
We cry even more than before
Cursing our own existence
And trying to rip this pain from our hearts
But when the rain doesn't come
We wait again
Through another verse of pianoed beauty
Waiting for the day we're finally set free

    Piano Showers?
That's just what came to my mind, you don't have to use it or anything your title is just as good. I love the imagery of this, I wish I could read more of your work. It's absolutely lovely!
