Dark Sapphires or Why Ayn Rand Was a Racist Fool, not a Philosopher

when the miners find a vein they can follow,
it leads to dust, the real dust.

the pathways of history lead choking
  into this fine modernity...
just like the Navajo, just like the Congo,
Love is grounded in the politics of what
fools never wished to know...

industrialized and mechanized,
on the backs of the slaves and colonized –
give us back what was usurped – give us back the lies
that helped build sleek steel mountains of crumbling greed
and desire.

just like Palestine, just like Kashmir
  just like Xinjiang :
objective machines are grounded in the past of what
you do not know, and a genocide
unsung.

Please tell me what you think

What discourages me more than most things is the way some create calamity when there should be peace. Where some create chaos when subtle ingenuity is necessary. Your poem is powerfully written, touching on a subject that most would rather ignore, and let whatever happens happen.

Many are guilty of leading us right into the fires of hell. What really irritates me right now is the treatment of the Muslim in America. I do not want to offend but they have become the "new nigger". The sad reality which I am sure will most likely never be reckoned with...WE ARE ONE!

Thanks for this work of intelligent poetry poet. It is rare to read such splendor and self-assurance.

    Much Love & Respect ♥

Great names of the past often appeared to be spirits who deserve qualifications that differ from the ones given to them by their contemporaries. The same goes for great names of today and will apply to those that will establish in the future. This world labels from ignorance and iniquity thereby distorting history which results in people on later times to have distorted views. How many so-called intellectuals in the west waved Mao's little red book? He massacred an estimated 72 million people of his own people. Even in China of today distorted views on Mao's role in history exist. Among them will be the influential people of the near future. Distorting history is part of the self sustaining mechanism of evil. Thank you for creating and sharing this perceptive poem. Take care,

Thank you for your comment. The first to stand judgement, in my religion, are those who proclaimed themselves "leaders" and "kings" on this earth.
