You are gone forever and I can’t believe it
We shared some special times together, you and I
Our souls were laid bare and then intertwined
I can still hear your laughter and feel your soul
We were so close and grew so far apart
You had so much pain and hurt inside
Yet you never showed it to the world
I saw your pain and you saw mine
For a time, we found comfort in each other
From the darkness and loneliness of this world
I trust you have found peace now my friend
I know your Mother was waiting for you
What a joyful reunion there had to be
I see your head resting on her lap
And her stroking your hair, softly singing to you
Rest peacefully among the mountains my friend
Never to feel the sting of pain again
Only knowing joy and never sorrow
Another tear shall never fall

Thank you. That is encouraging. I came so close to just deleting all my poetry within the last day because sometimes it just doesn't seem worth it. Now I know I need to leave it up in case someone can benefit from it.

yes you should leave it up others can benefit in many different ways, i know what you mean though about almost deleting everything, i have come close a few times.
