This christmas I want you to be happy
Before you go to listen to the songs and enjoy the lights
Lets remember to charish everything
All I want is for everyone to love each other at least for tonight
The children remind me of the way I used to be
But this hearts been broken and this mind is restless from the fight
This christmas I want the argueing to end
So the children have fun
With there closest family and friends
For the beaten to be strong
Don't be scared
Lets just take away there fear
Because this is christmas
For all of those with us
Sitting around the fire
And the music struming off this guitars wire
These children seem so happy
And everyones so loveing and decorating so lovely
This christmas will be different
I don't want anything material or self-sufficient
I want you to take away the tears
And give something not expecting to receive
This is christmas what have you done
This christmas all I want is...
This christmas all I need is for the weak to be happy
And the abandoned to be loved
Because we all are meant for something
Lets make this a good one for all the unloved
Make them find happiness

its scetchy but I can't write that well on things like this I just wanted to explain that if for christmas if I could have anything It'd be for everyone to be happy. All the abused children, All the arguing family's, all the abandoned teens, all the heartbroken people out there if they could just be happy. That'd be the greatest Christmas ever.

Now that is what I call a Christmas wish. I read this & I see some of my situation in this. "This Christmas I want the arguing to end so the children have fun with their closest family & friends." I want the exact same thing. Fine work.

It gave me hope. Last time I read this I did not know what to say, because I felt un-spirited. Hey now I read this with serenish eyes and can see and understand the simplicty of a well wrote piece. Christmasy and to the point. Good English has bben used and my faourite line is: give something not expecting to receive. Well done and good luck!

The obvious heart-felt build up to this actually brought me to tears. I'm not just saying that, you've actually put into words the thoughts that were hovering about in my mind too with regards to the upcoming holiday. you have a lot of typos!

So true. Wouldn't that be an amazing Christmas? That's what Christmas is all about, giving because you love one another and happiness and for at least some people, remembering the birth of Christ. Great poem, and good luck in the contest!
