I Am!
by Chaz D. Wolf
I am there before the morning,
Coming forth, clear and cold,
I am upon the trees and the braches,
Both that of young and old,
I am under foot and overhead,
I beat upon your windows,
While you lie still in your bed,
Yes, I am!
I am clean and I am dirty,
I am far, and I am near,
I am tantalizing, and I’m mighty,
As interesting as a silver mirror,
I am always from without,
I laugh at you by the fireside,
As I roar, screech, and shout!
Yes, I am!
I am Winter!
