I feel the pain
that finds rest within my bones,
but never alike the desolation of those
that pain for their precious one.
I feel the pain
that embeds within my heart,
but never alike the emptiness of those
that yearn for their precious one.
I feel the pain
that overpowers my thoughts,
but never alike the grief of those
that ache for their precious one.
I feel the pain
that wounds my soul,
but never alike the barren hurt of those
that cry of thirst for their precious one.
I feel the pain
that throbs within my throat,
but never alike the rawness of those
that desire for their precious one.
Until you have lost a precious one,
the pain is never alike…

so very true people can relate to peoples loss but it wouldnt even scratch the surfice it was a well thought out piece of poetry to read these words and know what a precious one is all about

which was written a year ago ... I loved the message. Yes I can relate: the sorrow accompanying the loss of a precious one cannot be understood by those not yet in that boat.

Precious One and yes I lost my precious one. So true people don't understand unless they have lost a precious one. I didn't understand until trajedy and heartache hit me. The first line I feel the pain. Then the last but never alike the rawness of those that desire for their precious one. Then at the end Until you have lost a precious one, the pain is only alike....! Your compassion is beautiful and a gift. Thank you for being there for me.
