Not knowing each other the way that we should,
never knowing between us what's misunderstood.
I feel this closeness from a friend to a friend,
but confused if I'll end up hurt in the end.
Can I put my trust in you and allow to be protected
or will you hurt me inside and leave me feeling neglected?
I want to give you all of my trust,
but never feel like you look at me in disgust.
Call on you when I'm feeling down and out,
being there for each other beyond any doubt.
Hanging out and having fun,
watching movies and old reruns.
Being together to complete the need,
so far as we don't exceed.
Comforting each other when the time is right,
and you always being my one true knight.
