Lust of the Flesh

Missing image

I remember discovering
that old issue
of Playboy
in my father's tool chest
in the garage and

soon after
Marilyn Monroe
was my new love,

will you ever forgive me
oh, exotic
coffee skinned
young women of
National Geographic?

And from the shower wand

bachelorette to the

lonely pay per-view

voyeur, I am sure

that sex

sells.

Author notes

Option # 1 I suppose, although #2 could apply as well.

I was striving for a rather ‘Bukowski-esque’ tone in this piece.

Congrats on the silver in Bella's contest. That is a very difficult and abstract picture to write about. And while this was a very interesting piece, it's not quite what I'm looking for ... but thank you for entering.

    Smiling...

this is witty...to say the VERY least... I love the way you covered the wide horizon of the industry that stems from our lust for the flesh...

    Bravo...

    xoxo

I would say you achieved it... love the tone... a kind of acceptance tinged with a bit of remorse, not for the way one feels as an individual necessarily, but for the state of things, affairs in general, if you will...

    nicely done, indeed!

This is great as you remember the way things impressed you as a young boy on the brink of being a man. The memories, the thing you recall the clearest of all was being sold the idea of sex with a gorgeous blond goddess - you and billions of other men, young and old from every point of the earth. Sex sells in a big way. Good luck with this
