Merry Christmas, Everyone!

Missing image
Christmas star shining bright,
Christmas lights ablaze at night,
grateful hearts filled with love
give thanks to Jesus up above,
whose birth and death
redeemed our souls,
gave sinners hope
and made us whole.
All the world knows of this man
who tried to make us understand
what we must do, how we must live,
how blest we are when we forgive.
Let's emulate His loving way
by teaching others how to pray,
by helping those who are in need,
by doing each day one good deed.
When our time on earth is done,
we shall meet God's only Son.
What joy to see His holy face,
to be there in that sacred place!
In Heaven for eternity,
feeling such serenity.
What a blessing, oh, what bliss
to be a part of all of this!
Merry Christmas, everyone!
Happy Birthday to God's Son!

    very spiritual~

Indeed this is what Christmas is all about
All the hustle and bustle in the store will not help when your name is called....
Gifts are indeed thoughtful but we should really be thankful for the one you just wrote about
Best of luck in the contest..this is a winner in my book
    Love you
    Your sis
    Susan~~~

    Dear Maureen,

    Fearlessly, I see you shout
the things that Christmas is about.
Not for you the PC way
    to name it "Happy Holiday"
    or, like those anti-Christian fools
who stop kids praying in the schools
    or the protesters who proclaim
they cannot bear to hear GOD's Name.

Well, I'll enjoy my CHRISTMAS cheer.
If they don't like it, I DON'T CARE!!
For, as I light my CHRISTMAS Tree,
I know what JESUS means to me
and to my friends and family
    who value CHRISTMAS properly.

Thankyou for sharing this poem which should be widely circulated in these times when ignorant fools are trying to destroy our Christian values and principles.
"Lord, forgive them, for they know not what they do."

Applause, love and hugs, XXX Hugh.

      Dear Hugh,

      I enjoyed your poem
      and words of support.
      Let's take our case
      to the highest court!
      God will chide the ones
      who say,
      "Have a Happy Holiday."
He will smile and give applause
      to those who shout,
      "MERRY CHRISTMAS!"

      Love and Hugs,
      Maureen

When all that foolish PC fudge
is brought before the Highest Judge,
He’ll ask them: “How shall I forgive
all you who would not let Me live?
Though you denied Me and My Name,
yet I forgive you just the same
for you were but misguided fools
who banned My Word from children’s schools.

“Though Christ and Christmas you denied,
Behold! He sits here at My side.
        His sacrifice your souls has shriven;
through Him your sins may be forgiven.
If you in Us still disbelieve,
your souls Heaven's Gate will not receive.”

    Lovely poem

Your rhyme scheme is consistent, and you manage to make the poem flow, and in its own right its just a really beautiful piece.

      Thank you, Eddy!

I think if I would have taken the time to play around with it, I could have made it look like a religious figure but the message is more important to me than shape poetry (although I do enjoy it).

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

      Hugs,
      Maureen

      Thanks, Sis!

Believe it or not, I didn't write this for a contest. It's a poem I started to write a long time ago. I just discovered it recently and decided to finish it. I'm glad you liked it!

      Love you!
      ♥ Maureen
