On the sixth month
of the solar calender
I had a surrealist dream
about you.
In that dream
we hugged each other.
At that time I did not think
it is possible either.
Our relationship was full
of formalities.
And a hug did not seem
a probability.
I love you
but you did not love me.
So the dream seemed
an unrealistic one.
Then months by
months a strange story
started.
A formal relationship
became a friendship by fate
and on tenth solar month shifted to love.
Finally on the eleventh month
when we finally hugged.
I remembered about my dream
which became a miracle.

This poem is based on my true love story. I am dedicating this to my wife Hafsa Bintey Faruq.

Perhaps she loved you all along. I found you through a contest and now after writing my piece without knowing anything about you or your circumstances, except your names and that you are married and in love (Aww) I've decided to check out your poetry. And am I glad I did! I really love this piece, especially the references to the lunar calendar. It makes it seem more mystical. It wasn't great poetry-wise, as in rhythm rhyme etc. (but who says that makes good poetry anyways?) but I love the feel of it. And that, to me, is more important than the technical poetry-stuff.
=D You and your love for your wife makes me happy.
P.S. One of my favorite songs is called Sa Bir. It's by Dir en Grey, a Japanese rock band. Go figure.
