In the twilight of the night
soft slow silver flakes
slip gently to the ground
in smooth waved mound
of still sparkling snow
All the barren branches
now adorned in silver white
glisten in the bluish light
The Evergreen’s boughs glitter
now unblemished Christmas trees
bowed with heavy laden snow
clothed with lustrous glow
The brisk fresh cool air
assault the sleeping lung
awaken it to breathe, deeply
the sting, pang briefly
Draw in the fresh sweet scent
of Winter's pristine beauty
yearns to be undisturbed
desirous senses uncurbed
enticed by Winter's luster
the whispered gentle crunch
through freshly fallen snow
soft silver flakes blow
