A Little Bit Of Warmth

Dante tumbles backwards
out of the warmth of hell,
into chill of snow,
layered burdens
piled upon one another,
fashion statements gone astray
for some semblance of heat.

Satin chemise
wrapped in vermilion’s cotton embrace,
long sleeved boldness restrained
by collared shirt of labor,
encased in sweater vest,
underneath coat of Superbowl winner
from ten years ago,
shutting out the forgotten crowd
with earmuffs restraint,
swathed in scarf noose
pushed aside by mittens damp
with cleaning windshield of frost,
before spiraling to work,
with heater’s blast into vacuum
of another dimension,
the entrance of winter.

Such a picture in my mind this poem creates...

    "Satin chemise

Great job with imagery...I love it
