Author notes
HM - Dreams - G.S. - BG Eagle Girl
As I lay upon the ground,
beneath a summer moon.
The silence of the night,
brings thoughts to mind.
Thoughts of distant pasts,
problems, hopes and goals.
Thoughts of distant memories,
swings, ponies and the beach.
Hard to decipher now,
thoughts are slipping to dreams.
Lapsing in between words,
and images within my mind.
A little girl racing the wind,
with hair kissed by sun's love.
Trying to catch a seagull,
and falling with each leap.
But an invisible hand is there,
each time to pick her up.
An invisible kerchief to brush,
the sand from her face.
An invisible grandmother,
sent to her from above.
To kiss her gently on the cheek,
then fly away as a seagull.
Then I wake,
to the singing of birds.
And my body is dampened
with morning dew.
