My dear, death suddenly ripped you away
Before I had a chance to say goodbye
I never really had a chance to say
What you say to loved ones before they die
I cried for you, for weeks on end, alone
Because I'd thought that you had gone for good
But now your shining light has lead me home
As somewhere in my heart I knew it would
I feel you now wherever I may go
Your love in every aspect of my life
Some laugh at me because they do not know
That though you're dead, you're here, my loving wife
Your picture's what my tears have fallen on
But now, I know, you're never really gone...
Author notes
first sonnet in a while, I feel it's decent, but I want your feedback.
