As I walk on this sandy shore
And feel the loss, the tears pour,
A ray of sunshine, here on me,
Showing a shadow that couldn't be,
Because you are dead, not here with me.
I watched your shadow beside me.
As I walked beside the sea,
The lifting of that empty feeling
And I knew you were with me.
The sun dissapeared, your shadow too.
But a new feeling arose,
And I knew everything would change.
As I walked along the shore of the sea,
A a feeling of hope filled me, as I knew,
You're with Me.
Author notes
I chose the Roundeau one,
uh, ok... my mom died when I was young, and it took a few different experiences for me to learn to cope with that... this is true in a way... not exact... but in a personal way.
