As soon as they had surfaced a giant wave came and crashed upon them, sending them hurdling under water.
He quickly swam to the surface;
he looked around and saw that she was not there.
He dove under searching for her, hoping to find her.
As she fell more and more into the unknown abyss that is called the ocean, he kept searching.
They were but a few feet apart, but they thought that they were on different planets.
Suddenly her eyes burst open and she gasped for breath sending bubbles, as if messengers, past him.
He raced down to find her.
She realized where she was and started to swim up further.
She crashed into him as he was heading down.
The crash knocked her unconscious.
He picked up her body and swam as fast as he could to the surface.
He made it back up to the surface and gasped for breath.
He looked for the shore but everywhere he looked he saw water.
He quickly swam in the way he thought might be shore.
After twenty minutes of swimming he turned the opposite direction.
He started to see a cliff in the far distance.
He raced toward the cliff trying to keep her from slipping.
He stopped, too tired to keep on.
He could barely hold her up, the weight crushing his very being every second.
She opened her eyes slowly and saw him keeping her from crashing into the water.
She slowly started to slip off of him.
He pushed her back on, thinking that the waves were dragging her away.
She noticed how heavily he was breathing and quickly slipped off of him.
He immediately noticed she was gone and turned to find her.
She smiled sweetly at him when he saw her.
They were drenched with sea water, their eyes burning with every blink.
They couldn't help but be happy that both of them were alive and okay.
He was too tired to swim to shore and told her that he would join her soon.
She got next to him and put his arm around her shoulder and started to swim, she didn't want to lose him, not now; she kissed his cheek, hoping that he could stay awake long enough to make it to shore.
He quickly became unconscious as she kept swimming.
His weight was too much on her, but she had to keep swimming, she wouldn't let herself give up.
Suddenly she felt sand on her feet and hands as she had got to shore.
She laid him on the sand and noticed that he was barely breathing.
He stopped breathing and his eyes shut.
She crawled over to him and started to perform CPR.
She tilted back his neck and put deep slow breaths into his body.
She saw his chest rise up and down with the breaths she put into him.
He turned cold, she wouldn't give up.
Tears filled her eyes as he turned cold.
She gave him one last long breath, hoping it would save his life.
She saw his chest rise up and fall again.
She turned away and sobbed into her palms.
She felt responsible, she thought it was her fault.
She turned around to see his cold body laying in the sand.
She crawled closer to him, wishing she could turn back time.
She leaned toward him, and kissed his lips.
She kissed him like he was still alive.
She let her lips slip away from his as her tears flowed down her cheeks.
She put her head on his chest, unable to stop her tears.
Suddenly his chest began to rise and fall.
She looked at his face and saw a smile from one ear to the other.
He sat up and and they embraced, she cried as he kissed her over and over again.
She kissed him back happy that he's alive.
She wrapped her arms around him, never wanting to let go.
She kissed him once more, unable to keep in her tears of joy.
She felt as if she could have soared to the moon and back.
He felt as if he was kissed by an angel.
She hugged him again and wouldn't let go.
He kissed her forehead, thankful she was there.
They stood up, their feet sinking further into the wet sand.
She couldn't help but to kiss him.
He kissed her back, not wanting them to ever be separated again.
She wrapped her arms around him again, and kissed him every where, hoping that nothing bad would ever happen to them again.
But that was not so, soon a siren started wailing, and grew louder and louder.
As they ran toward the bottom of the cliff, they wondered what was going to happen next.
