Cigarettes

The smell of cigarettes filled the air
But I didn't much care
I can't stand them
But I didn't throw a tantrum
The fogginess bellowed around me
But I wasn't upset you see
The smoke reminds me of you
Every-time I smell it, It's true
The alcohol came out...
And that showed my faults, no need to pout
Best friend of mine I love you
If you can see through all that, say you need me too.

Well... this was very simple. Not too shabby. I think that the rhyming was a little... unoriginal, but other than that this was nicely done. Thanks for entering and good luck.

I can't help but think that maybe you are using some strong symbolism here. Like maybe it isnt exactly cigarettes... Some definite beautiful writing here!
    Thank you for sharing!

hmmm oddly familiar. I think I might have lived this too. I liked it, and I like the AABB rhyme sequesnce it's always nice to read that...but the only fault with this piece I could find was the last four lines rhymed more like TGBB which is pretty much me saying they first two fo the four dont rhyme, and it kind of threw off the rhythm. over good piece

Awww so touching and honest here, I love it how you explains the smoke and the love, it's like not seeing through because of the blurry vision...
