 Fearfully  write,
open your mind & heart wide,

let all your words flow.

Why be timid and shy of a metaphors voice?

Hit that submit button ....as if it were your life. 

 

You are suppose to be scared....

     it means you

still

have something powerful

left...to lose.

    Great!

    I really like this you've written something original with an idea that no one else has used in the contest yet so far, and that is to actually write about.. writing poetry and the emotions that go with it. I especially liked the last lines "You are suppose to be scared....it means you still have something powerful left...to lose"

    What good is the written word if it cannot be used as an earnest means of expressing every notion? What prize from pen does ink allure if we are not submitting our will to the indigo of pressed feelings. I usually write from the depths of my soul and allow my spirit to fly free. There is no greater therapy, no better way to cleanse than the gift of poetry, reading and writing.
