Earth am I
Birthed to die
Like a flower in an unfamiliar place
Where never seen is it's beautious grace
Under the waters falling on stone
little creatures call me 'home'
Nourished from creations bossom
A child am I
Sustained by love
Tears I cry
Rain on humble mountains
blanketed with dirt
Mountains heartbeat
returns in hurt
Heavy storms at bay
Wash mountain slopes in glory
and thrust the pain away
Rivers run
Arms are open, Oh father sun
In a warm embrace
Till the time has come
When peace shines again
An ebb of wisdom
gained by friends
I grow
Earth am I
Child of her
Birthed to die
Fruited in the circle of life
Author notes
We are lucky to be created into this world so should not take any of it for granted, all of it is beautiful if you choose to see it that way.

Congratulations on the gold!
I love the message in this. We truly are "lucky to be created into this world." It's all too easy at times to take it for granted. I have always felt that, to receive the gifts this world has for us, we first have to learn how to cherish life. This poem represents the cycle of life as it is meant to be cherished for the gift it truly is. Beautifully expressed!

Not really a critic...like it...like the
circle of life bit.

Beautiful and wise word to live by. There are miracles to be beheld every day. We should learn, as you have to witness them and realize we focus all too ofent on the negatives. You have revealed the sweetness of your soul, here! Thank-you...
